Solid 14K gold is intended to be worn. With time, its surface will naturally develop fine marks and soften from its original polish. We consider this part of the life of the object rather than something that must always be removed.

A Periana polishing cloth is included with your piece and may be used periodically to restore the natural luster of the gold.

Use the cloth on metal surfaces only, avoiding gemstones and intentionally textured or specially finished areas.

For deeper scratches, refinishing, or professional polishing, we recommend contacting the House rather than attempting abrasive treatments at home.

Store jewelry individually in its Periana box, pouch, or another soft-lined compartment. Keeping pieces separate helps prevent gemstones and metal surfaces from scratching one another.

Chains should be fastened and stored flat or gently extended to reduce tangling.

Avoid prolonged contact with chlorine, bleach, household cleaners, and other harsh chemicals. We also recommend allowing perfume, lotions, oils, hairspray, and other personal products to dry before putting on your jewelry.

Remove fine jewelry before swimming, particularly in chlorinated pools or hot tubs.

Natural gemstones differ in hardness, structure, and sensitivity. A cleaning method that is appropriate for one stone may not be appropriate for another.

For everyday care, the gentlest method is usually best: lukewarm water, mild soap, a soft brush or cloth, and careful drying.

Avoid exposing gemstones to sudden temperature changes, harsh chemicals, or unnecessary impact.

We do not recommend using ultrasonic or steam cleaners at home unless you know they are appropriate for the particular gemstone and setting. Stones such as moonstone, labradorite, onyx, and certain other natural gems require more considered handling than diamonds.

Fine jewelry benefits from occasional inspection, particularly pieces worn every day.

If a stone appears loose, a prong has shifted, a clasp no longer closes securely, or the structure of the piece has changed, stop wearing it until it can be examined. Continuing to wear a compromised setting can result in further damage or stone loss.
